I hit 10k followers and what made it happen this time

Dear Aditya,

I hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits!

As someone who has been on Instagram for quite some time, I've witnessed the evolution of influencers, their ups, downs, and everything in between. My own journey on the platform has been a blend of consistent posts and moments of lazing out. I've had the privilege of owning a good iPhone for years, a reliable microphone, my background as a public speaker, and a beautiful office space that doubles as the perfect studio. The environment and tools have always been there.

It's not that I suddenly realized I had all these resources and decided to use them. There was always something missing, a sense of consistency. At times, I thought I needed an agency's help or a young, fresh perspective to work with. Other times, I felt I needed better editing tools. And, on a few occasions, I felt like I had lost the game entirely.

A couple of months back, my friend and colleague Yusuf nudged me to take on a 30-day Instagram challenge. The goal was simple: post something every day without fail. I know my audience appreciate my content, often referring to it as "mini MBA" lessons. So, I accepted the challenge. I gathered all my tools, set up a small workspace in my room, and decided to shoot from home. I would plan the content, shoot, edit it myself, post it on Instagram and then leave for office only after completing my daily content creation. I also created a system for it.

There have been days when I lacked the energy or interest to post, but I pushed through regardless. One of the biggest motivators was not wanting to let Yusuf and my other colleagues down. After all, I had made a commitment with a wholehearted "yes."

And you know what? I did it consistently, not just for the 30 days but for over two months. Then one day, a reel went viral. Then another. The whole team was excited.

Today, I reached 10k organic followers. Another buzz. But I know from my experiences that life is a series of these buzzes, on and off. The real lesson lies in being grateful for these moments and understanding that they happen when we commit to consistent efforts and maintain our energy and stamina.

As you reflect on your own journey, here are 2 questions I request you to ponder:
What resources or tools do you already have that you're not fully utilizing?
How can you maintain your energy and stamina, even when results are slow or not as expected?

"I have the inner strength to stay consistent in my efforts, even when the path is challenging. I recognise the abundance of resources around me and use them wisely. My energy remains steadfast, and my spirit is resilient. In moments of doubt, I remember the small victories that light my way."

In fratitude,
adi
